Garden Bird Tea Towels

A range of seven designs taken from my original gouache paintings. The images have been carefully colour matched in production resulting in great colour depth and saturation. Printed using water based inks, two sides hemmed and a hanging loop attached by experienced machinist all on the same site.
The quality of the fabric a 50% Linen and 50% Cotton mix with a 185gsm weight produce a product that will last for years. Each Tea Towel is pressed and folded to show the bird design. Wrapped with a paper band with product details on the front, washing instructions on the back.
I published my first six garden bird cards over 10 years ago, adding to them over the years they are still among my best selling designs. I am a traditional artist everything drawn and painted by hand, gouache is a great medium for detail and lends it's self to reproduction as it was originally used by surface pattern designers before digital took over.
I sampled with different UK textile printers before settling on who can only be described as a true Artisan printer.
I wanted a quality product that could be used, hung, gifted and handed down just like the ones in my kitchen that belonged to my Gran.
