We spoke with Sally to learn more about the inspiration behind Beddy Buddies, the brand’s journey, and what this recognition means to her.

Congratulations on being a finalist! How does it feel to be recognised in this year’s Gift of the Year awards? I am delighted and feel very proud that our product has been recognised in this year's Gift of the Year Awards.
Can you tell us a little about your brand and the inspiration behind your successful product? The Wheat Bag Company is a well known estabished Brand in the Gift and Wellbeing Industry. We manufacture personal warming and well being products using quality fabrics and materials.
The inspiration behind Beddy Buddies came from wanting to provide safe ,comforting, soothing warmth from the body of a cute plush toy filled with a removable bag of English flaxseed which can be heated in the microwave. They have been proven time and time again to help encouage bedtime routines with little ones.
What makes your product special, and why do you think it stood out to the judges? I think what makes my product special and stand out to the judges is that it is not only cute and pleasing to the eye, it is also practical and has therapeutic qualities from the warmth to help ease tummy aches and growing pains.
Who is your product designed for, and what kind of reaction have you had from customers so far? The product is designed for all ages and genders over 36 months and popular with both adults and children.
The reaction has been amazing with fantastic positive feedback from our customers and lots of repeat custom.
What trends or themes do you think are shaping the gifting industry right now? After COVID, people started valuing health more proactively - not just treating illness but preventing it. That includes sleep, stress and emotional comfort. Wellbeing isn't just physical anymore. Comforting, relaxation and stress relief are big priorities - things that feel nurturing and soothing are in demand.

How has being shortlisted, and nowbeing a finalist impacted your brand so far, and what do you hope to achieve from the awards? It's been an amazing opportunity to shout about what we do and introduce even more people to our product.
We're incredibly proud, and we hope this recognition helps bring even more awareness to Beddy Buddies and the comfort they bring.
What exciting plans do you have for the future? We are excited to already be working on designing many more Beddy Buddies to compliment the range.
What’s the best gift you’ve ever received (or given), and why? I love giving gifts and when I give my products as gifts they are always very well received.
