House of Rothach is a luxury candle and home fragrance company based in Ayrshire, Scotland. I work from my home studio where I plans, design, and create my products and this is done whilst keeping focused on using sustainably and ethically sourced ingredients and where possible from UK suppliers. I have a beautiful range of timeless and classic scents as well as my own outdoors inspired fragrances, all born from memories of places visited in and around Scotland and completely unique to House of Rothach. My simple & elegant style brings a natural presence to any décor to sit effortlessly in the home. House of Rothach was recognized as one of Britain’s most inspiring small businesses, by being awarded a place in 2020’s #smallbiz100.

Tell us about the products you have entered

I wanted to showcase the beauty and strong long-lasting scent from our reed diffusers and make them more of an ornamental piece for the home, so I redesigned the packaging and doubled their size. They are presented in a traditional style clear glass vessel filled with dried botanicals to compliment the fragrance and they are available in our best-selling scents, 2 of which are from our own House of Rothach Collection; they aren’t made from a generic oil and simply renamed. They are available in The Rural Glens, The Country Gardens, Lemongrass & Ginger, and Lavender. The feedback I have received from customers has confirmed the beauty and quality of the product.

Why did you choose to enter the GOTY competition? have you entered in the past and has it helped your brand grow?

I have been aware of the GOTY competition and have been waiting for the right product to enter which I feel stands out in the challenging home fragrance market.

What other products will you be bringing to market in 2023

I have recently launched a small soap range of soap to the collection and will be adding to this with a few other skincare products to match.
