Following the owners travels around Asia 6 years ago, Mike fell in love with the coconut bowls made from upcycled coconut shells, turning a waste product into something of great use and beauty

Tell us about the products you have entered

We work with one of the longest established companies in Vietnam who are without doubt, the best when it comes to the quality of the lacquer work. Our bowls come in 2 sizes; medium 13cm and large 15cm. We have two styles; silver leaf which is then lacquered, and silver metallic paint, blown with a straw and then again lacquered. We have a range of vibrant colours. Every bowl is branded with a laser cut Love Coco logo, so you know you're buying quality

Why did you choose to enter the GOTY competition? have you entered in the past and has it helped your brand grow?

We decided to apply as we know we are in a crowded market and we know our product is of the highest quality. It's why we brand the bowls so that people know what they are buying. Getting the accreditation from Gift of The Year would be another step towards validation that Love Coco bowls really are the best

What other products will you be bringing to market in 2023?

We are off to Bali in the winter on a buying trip. We have some ideas which we want to discuss with the fantastic artisans in Bali

We have just started selling to retail so the best way to buy from Love Coco is either at one of the many events we exhibit at all over the country which you can find on our website or online
