How does it feel to be a Gift of the Year winner?

"It's a fantastic feeling. The standard of entries was incredibly high, so to be recognised by the judges is something we're all very proud of."

What does this recognition mean for your business?
It gives retailers additional confidence in the collection and is wonderful recognition for the hard work that has gone into building the range. It's also a great endorsement of our partnership with Stacey McNeill and Fox Under the Moon.

Tell us the story behind your winning product.
Fox Under the Moon began as Stacey McNeill's heartfelt artwork and words, which have built a huge and loyal following. We worked closely together to translate that emotional connection into a full range of giftware, including a jewellery collection that people can wear, gift and treasure.

What makes it stand out in the market?
The range genuinely means something to people. Every piece carries a positive message inspired by Stacey's artwork, creating an emotional connection that goes far beyond the product itself.

How did your business begin?
Joe Davies was founded 107 years ago by Joe Davies, with Steve Davies, Joe’s Great Grandson, our CEO. Today we're proudly 100% employee-owned and continue to focus on helping independent retailers succeed, keeping our traditional values of great service and commercial product at the heart of everything we do.

What has been your biggest milestone so far?
There have been many over the year, but perhaps most recently becoming an employee-owned business in 2024 was a huge milestone for us. It secured the future of the company and recognised the contribution of all our employees.

What's next for your brand?
We're continuing to expand the Fox Under the Moon collection with Stacey and are excited about bringing more beautiful products and meaningful gifting opportunities to retailers. More broadly, we're continuing to invest in new product development and supporting independent retailers across the UK and Ireland.
