Tell us about your business
Our founders Bobbie and Will have always been fans of escape rooms, board games, crossword puzzles, quizzes, and also receiving post, so for them, Puzzle Post was a natural next step.
The company which was founded in July 2020, is based on a love of brain teasers and chasing that feeling of finally cracking the puzzle that the rest of the room thinks is still impossible. Bobbie and Will were struck with the idea of how to personalise the experience, and loved the idea of being able to offer a bespoke ‘reward’ at the end of it. Imagine if you didn’t know what was going to happen at the end (or indeed who you might see!), and that was how Puzzle Post was born.
From humble beginnings around the kitchen table, we now have a range of 11 products and a team of 5. All our products are based around the idea of 'An Escape Room in an Envelope' and are fully immersive games where a real life situation is thrown at you. We have 6 (3 adult and 2 kids) personalised games where you're able to send a secret message which is only revealed when all the clues are solved and you access the online vault. We have also developed 2 'Dinner party editions', these are ideal for up to 8 people where there are more puzzles and two of each so you're not all huddled around one clue.
Tell us about the products you have entered
We've entered a range of products that showcase who we are. All our products are based around the idea of an escape room in an envelope - a puzzle game you can fully immerse yourself in from the comfort of your own home! We've entered two personalised games, one for adults and one for kids where you can add your own ending to the game. We've also entered one of our Dinner Party editions that are great for large groups, as well as our Puzzling Christmas Crackers which are the perfect Christmas dinner entertainment!
Why did you choose to enter the GOTY competition? have you entered in the past and has it helped your brand grow?
We entered GOTY last year and were delighted to be highly commended for our game, The Scandal. We've found that being recognised by the award has helped us as a small business with our credibility and to be found by new customers.
What other products will you be bringing to market in 2023
We're very excited to be working on our biggest year yet in terms of product development.
After the success of our Puzzling Christmas Crackers we're already developing 2 new sets of crackers to go on sale for Christmas 2023.
We also have 3 murder mystery puzzles in development as well as 2 physical lock games and a couple more kids games too so a very busy year for us!

Our games are available in over 100 independent shops across the UK as well as our website puzzlepost.com.
As of this year, we can also be found in shops worldwide in countries including USA Canada, Sweden and France.
