Included is a set of 3 biodegradable and compostable bamboo pots and saucers, peat-free coir discs, 12 wildflower seed balls (in lovely new packaging!) and full instructions on how to use. Available in three varieties, Bee Mix, Butterfly Mix and Garden Meadow. The pots are best positioned outdoors, on a window sill or garden table for example, and can be set up at any time of the year (although early Spring and Autumn are the very best times to start).

My Grandmother has been asking us to make an all in one set for about 5 years, and finally we've got there! She wanted to be able to gift seeds without also giving someone the hassle of then having to find a pot or soil (and especially the right quantity of soil). We're really excited to be able to offer a set that includes not only pots and seeds (in seed ball form), but a growing medium as well. This complete wildflower seed set is unique to the gift market as an offering. We're also delighted that all components of the product and packaging are biodegradable and peat-free.

Materials Description

All cardboard packaging (including the Seedball packs) are made from 100% recycled card and vegetable inks and can be safely composted. The coir discs are made from the natural fibres found on the outer shell of coconuts which expand when water is added, turning into a great growing medium. The bamboo pots and saucers are fully biodegradable, while the seed balls are made from a mixture of UK wildflower seeds (all from the RHS 'Plants for Pollinators' list), peat-free compost, clay and chilli powder. The outer clay means that the seeds are inaccessible to common seed predators (such as ants & birds), and once sufficient water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout. Seed balls are incredibly easy to use - simply scatter (no digging or expertise required!) and nature will do the rest.
