Judging Process

How does the competition work?

Stage One

Enter online providing details of your company and product plus a product image and any relevant marketing material.  Before uploading your image you will pay the relevent admin fee for your entry or entries.  Entries should be submitted to the GA by 8 April 2010.  The judges will be viewing all entries electronically so please upload a high resolution JPG image.  (This image could potentially be used in the Winners promotional brochure).

Card & Wrap entries should also be submitted online by 8 April 2010.

By entering the Awards you are agreeing to your company and products being included in any PR and publicity associated with the awards.

Stage Two

The judging panel will select up to 10 shortlisted companies in each category.  Shortlisted products will be called forward on 7 May 2010.  Samples of shortlisted products should be submitted for judging by 14 May 2010.  Each item submitted must be individually labelled with product name, company name, trade and RRP, arriving in clearly labelled boxes.  Please send no more than 6 items per product range.  For full details see the FAQ section.

Stage Three

The distinguished panel of judges will select the finalist products in Birmingham on 20 May 2010.  One outright winner and two highly commended will be chosen in each category.  All winning products will be kept for showcasing at , Harrogate Home & Gift  and Autumn Fair 2010.

Unless specifically requested, all non finalist products will be donated to charity.  Return of valuable items must be arranged and paid for by the entrant.

Stage Four

Trophies presented and winning products revealed in the Gift of the Year showcase at Harrogate Home and Gift 18 - 21 July 2010.
